Call to health-check apprentices

Business leaders are calling for the introduction of basic health checks for apprentices

CBH Scotland, a new industry lobbying group, says the move could save the Scottish economy more than £30 million over the next decade. The body argues many at-risk new recruits or those suffering from long-term health problems could go undetected and miss out on necessary support. Michelle Aldous is head of CBH Scotland:
