A young Fifer with leukemia is urging us to donate unwanted clothes to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
8-year-old Ben Harnwell, who was diagnosed with the condition when he was just 5, is undergoing chemo until October.
Around 1,600 children are diagnosed with cancer in the UK each year, with around 120 of those children in Scotland.
His plea comes as part of a campaign by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx which has raised £13.5 million to fund the charity's work.
Ben’s mum Michelle said: "Thanks to research into children’s cancers, Ben is here today and is now living a full and happy life like any other eight-year-old.
Michelle said: “We would urge people across Fife to support Give Up Clothes for Good and go through their wardrobes, cupboards and drawers, and drop off as many unwanted items as they can to TK Maxx stores. The items will then be passed to Cancer Research UK to be sold in the charity’s shops.
“We will definitely be having a good clear out and hope others will be inspired to do the same.
"We can all help Cancer Research UK nmake sure that more children like Ben survive cancer in the future.”
