Aberdeen first team head coach Peter Leven is being linked with a potential move to Raith Rovers.
The Kirkcaldy-based club are currently on the hunt for new leadership after sacking Ian Murray at the weekend.
They're looking for a new head coach rather than a manager to work under director of football John Potter.
40-year-old Leven was placed in interim charge of the Dons before current boss Jimmy Thelin was appointed.
P&J sports reporter Paul Third says it's not a huge surprise: "It's inevitable a club was going to take an interest in him after the terrific job he did in a short space of time as interim manager at Aberdeen last season.
"He rallied the squad and took a team fighting for survival to being the best of the rest in the bottom half of the post split.
"Clearly the players like him, new manager Jimmy Thelin wanted to keep him as part of his backroom staff which speaks volumes as well.
"Leven's well respected and highly regarded at Pittodrie, so Raith will have a fight on their hands if they do want to make a move for him."
He says that while Aberdeen won't be keen to let him ho, it's not up to them.
Paul added: "Ultimately the choice comes down to Leven himself.
"He previously said he would like a chance to become a manager in his own right.
"But whether he feels this is the right time to make that move should the opportunity come his way, is a question only he can answer."
Leven is one of several names reportedly under consideration, which include Tam Courts, Liam Fox, and former Kelty Hearts boss Kevin Thomson.
