A92 Fatal Collision

Police confirm a nine-year old pedestrian has died following a collision on the A92.

The incident, involving a black Vauxhall Corsa, happened on Tuesday at around 5.40pm in Glenrothes.
 
The road was temporarily closed at the junction of Western Avenue and Cadham Road but reopened shortly before 11.00pm.
 
The boy was taken to the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, however he passed away.
 
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision to come forward.
 
Inspector Brenda Sinclair said: "Tragically this collision has resulted in the loss of a young boy's life and our thoughts are with his family at this harrowing time.
 
"We are appealing for any drivers or pedestrians who may have been on the A92 at the time of the collision to come forward and help establish the full circumstances of the incident."
