The Sunday Post is publishing a special edition to mark 100 years since it first came out.
The free publication will include classic comic strips from Oor Wullie and The Broons, alongside a reprint of the first ever ‘Fun Section’. There's also a page dedicated to the comic strips’ guest stars, from Sir Alex Ferguson and Andy Murray to Alex Salmond and Gordon Brown.
Donald Martin, Editor-in-Chief at the paper, say there's a huge shift in how it's covered issues over the past 10 decades.
"We are very proud to celebrate 100 years of The Sunday Post. The paper’s place in Scottish society and the affection felt for it is unique, so we’re delighted to share this momentous occasion with our readers. Our special souvenir edition includes the paper’s take on everything from the millennium to Churchill and the moon landings, Maggie Broon’s wedding to Oor Wullie’s brother - and everything in between."
The centenary Souvenir Special will be free with The Sunday Post on 5th October 2014.
