Senior Lifeguard Josh Muir said: "When we have to get involved people are having a really bad day.
"You can just make their day that little bit better. Go out, help them, get them back to shore.
"I find it really worthwhile."
Josh added: "They say a good lifeguard is a dry lifeguard, because a lot of what we do is preventative."
