85 deaths in Fife so far this year have involved coronavirus, according to figures published this afternoon.
The National Records of Scotland has revealed a total of 1,616 people across the country have passed away as a result of either confirmed or suspected COVID-19.
The number covers between 16 March and Sunday (19 April) and where the virus was indicated on the death certificate.
The first death mentioning COVID-19 was registered last month.
Meanwhile, a third of deaths nationwide involving the virus were in care homes.
56% of those who have passed away were in hospital.
A tenth were at home or in non-institutional settings.
Nearly three quarters of those who died were aged 75 or over.
To date, 55% of those who have passed away were male, with 45% being female.
