Police Scotland say the death of a two-year-old girl is being treated as 'suspicious.'
Officers were called to Croftangry Road in Kelty at around 6.30pm last night following a 'report of concern for a two-year old girl.'
The toddler, named locally as Madison Horne, was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, where she was later pronounced dead.
Her mother, Anne-Marie White, has paid tribute online, saying 'she was just far too young.'
We've been speaking to local residents today who are in shock at the news.
